Questions, answered
Where do the stories come from?
We read the public feeds of more than 60 outlets across the spectrum. For each story you get the headline, a short summary we write, and a link. Click through to read the original. We never reproduce articles.
How do you decide who is left or right?
We rate the outlet, never the article, using our own judgment informed by public media-bias ratings. Every rating is listed on the Sources page. They are debatable, and we say so.
Is the test scientific?
No. It is sixteen questions designed to sort your reading list, not to label you. Retake it any time and your brief will shift.
What do I get for free?
A fresh brief every morning with ten sourced stories, a short summary on each, the swipe feed that learns your taste, and the weekly quiz. Paid adds talking points for both sides, local, sports and lifestyle news, a daily text, and a monthly Wrapped report.
How does swiping work?
Right means more like this, left means less. Each swipe nudges the topics and outlets we pick for you. In email, the same two choices are one-tap links under every story.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your swipes tune your own brief and nothing else.
