Terms

The service

The Mosaic links to and summarizes reporting published by other outlets. We do not own that reporting, and a summary is no substitute for the original. Summaries, talking points and quiz questions are written with the help of AI and can contain mistakes. Check the linked sources before you rely on or quote anything.

Ratings and opinions

Outlet ratings and the test result are editorial tools, not facts about any person or publication. Talking points describe how supporters of each side tend to argue. They are not our views.

Billing

Plus renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel any time from Manage billing and you keep access until the period ends. Refunds are handled case by case.

Your account

You must be 16 or older. Keep your sign-in links private. You can delete your account any time from the Account page. Agreeing to these terms is required to use the service. The two privacy choices on the Account page are separate and optional, and nothing is withheld if you leave them off.

Links, paywalls and subscriptions

We link to the original article. Some outlets limit what non-subscribers can read. We never get around a paywall. If you subscribe to an outlet, you can tell us on your Account page and we will stop flagging its stories as paywalled.

Fair use

Do not scrape the service, resell it, or try to break it. We may suspend accounts that do.
